WHY TITHE?

Abraham, our Father in the faith, tithed a tenth of what he had to Melchizadek (Genesis 14:17-20). Christ, who is in the order of Melchizedek and the true recipient of Abraham's tithe offering, deserves his priestly tithe as well (Hebrews 7:1-10). To have Abraham as our father of the faith, we ought to follow in his works by tithing a tenth of what we have to fund the works of the Kingdom of God (2 Corinthians 9:7; 1 Tim. 5:17-18; Acts 4:32-35; ). Although we believe wholeheartedly in tithing, we as a church will not be checking percentages based upon incomes.
