WHAT WE BELIEVE

  • As inheritors of that Reformed history, we recognize as our primary creeds and  confessional standard of doctrine and life: 

    • The Apostles’ Creed (AD 2nd century)  

    • The Nicene Creed (AD 381) 

    • The Definition of Chalcedon (AD 451) 

    • The Westminster Confession of Faith (AD 1647) and Catechisms (AD 1648). 

  • We also recognize and find useful the following secondary standards, though we  defer to our primary standards in any perceived or real disagreement between these  standards: 

    • The Three Forms of Unity: 

      • The Belgic Confession (AD 1561) 

      • The Heidelberg Catechism (AD 1563) 

      • The Canons of Dort (AD 1619) 

    • The Second Helvetic Confession (AD 1566)
